Your Voice Shapes the Directory — Introducing Community Tags on Kingdom Connect
Kingdom Connect has always been about the Body — the whole Church, not a single voice. Today we're taking the first real step in making that true in the platform itself.
What Are Community Tags?
Every church on Kingdom Connect now has a Community Voice section — a tag cloud shaped entirely by people who know that church. Tags like Spirit-led worship, Strong Bible teaching, Warm welcome, and Family friendly sit on every church page. Any signed-in member of the community can vote for the tags that ring true for a church they have attended or been part of.
One vote, per person, per tag, per church. That's it. No reviews, no ratings, no star scores — just the community speaking.
How the Weight Works
The tags aren't static. As more people vote, they grow in prominence:
- 5 votes — the tag comes to life and shows its count
- 25 votes — it carries more visual weight, showing it's well-established
- 50 votes — it's highlighted as a defining quality of that community
- 100 votes — it reaches milestone status, marked with a star, and sits as a flagship tag
The idea is simple: the community doesn't just describe churches — it validates them. A hundred people clicking "Warm welcome" means far more than any one person writing it in a description box.
Why Not Reviews?
Star ratings and reviews have their place, but they can easily become a place for grievance, comparison, or worse — spiritual superiority. We wanted something different here. Tags are affirmations. You're saying: this is something I've genuinely seen in this place. It's agreement, not assessment. It's the Body speaking life, not judging.

We've launched with 25 tags spanning five themes — Worship, Teaching, Community, Pastoral, and Practical. Tags at launch include:

- Click the tags that describe what you've genuinely seen in that place
That's it. No forms, no essays — just a click. And your vote joins the chorus of everyone else who has stood in that building and experienced the same thing.

Community Tags are the first step in a much bigger vision — one where Kingdom Connect is truly shaped by the Kingdom community, not by any single person. We're building toward a platform where believers can share testimonies, pray for one another, suggest new features, and collectively help steer where this goes next.
The goal has always been unity. The feature is just starting to catch up with the vision.
