What We Believe
Every church listed on Kingdom Connect has been reviewed against this statement of faith. We don't use denominations — we look at what a church actually believes and operates in.
Based on the Evangelical Alliance Basis of Faith, adapted for Kingdom Connect.
The body of Christ was never divided by God. Denominations are man-made walls — products of history, tradition, and the preferences of men. At their worst they have separated brothers and sisters who serve the same Lord, read the same Word, and are saved by the same blood.
So rather than asking which tribe a church belongs to, we ask something more useful: What do they believe, and what are they operating in? The twelve articles below form the foundation every listed church must stand on.
The Statement of Faith

The Holy Trinity
The one true God who lives eternally in three persons — the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
God's Sovereignty
The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
Scripture
The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures — the eternal Word of God, fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.
Humanity & Sin
The dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image, yet corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgement.
The Incarnation
God's eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ — born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.
The Atonement
The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
The Resurrection
The bodily resurrection of Christ, the first fruits of our resurrection; his ascension to the Father, and his reign as the only Saviour of the world.
Justification by Grace
The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
The Holy Spirit
The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.
The Church
The church, the body of Christ both local and universal — the priesthood of all believers, given life by the Spirit and endowed with gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel.
The Return of Christ
The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God — raising all people to judgement, and establishing a new heaven and new earth.
Unity of Faith
The unity of all believers through the Gospel of Christ — one body, one Spirit, one Lord. As Christ is one with the Father, so his people are called to be one in him.
How We Describe Churches
Every church on Kingdom Connect is built on one foundation. On top of that, community tags let people who actually attend share what a church is genuinely like.
Every church on Kingdom Connect has been reviewed and confirmed to be teaching Scripture accurately in line with the Statement of Faith above. This is the non-negotiable foundation — no church is listed without it.
On top of the scriptural foundation, churches on Kingdom Connect are shaped by the people who attend them. Community members can add tags across five areas to help others get a feel for what a church is genuinely like day to day.
