
Kingdom Connect Now Has Places — Venues & Retreats
Finding a suitable venue or retreat as a Christian has always been harder than it should be. Whether you're organising a prayer group, a youth weekend, a Bible study, or a community event, the information is scattered — church noticeboards, Facebook groups, word of mouth, and outdated websites that may or may not reflect what's actually available.
We wanted to do something about that. Kingdom Connect now has a dedicated Places section, bringing together church halls, meeting rooms, community venues, and Christian retreats across the UK into one place — simple, searchable, and free for everyone to use.
What Is Places?
Places is a directory built into Kingdom Connect with two categories:
- Venues for Hire — church halls, meeting rooms, and community spaces available to book for events, groups, rehearsals, and more.
- Christian Retreats — dedicated retreat centres and getaway venues for rest, prayer, and spiritual renewal. (Coming soon.)
No subscriptions. No listing fees. No paywalls. Just a straightforward, free tool to connect people who have space with people who need it.
Finding a Venue
Anyone can browse available venues without needing an account. Simply head to the Places section in the navigation and search by name, filter by UK region, or narrow results by minimum capacity. Each listing shows:
- A description of the venue and what it is suitable for
- Location — city and postcode, or linked directly to a church on the platform
- Capacity and floor area
- Facilities — Wi-Fi, projector, kitchen, parking, accessibility features, and more
- Availability by day of the week and time
- Pricing per hour, half day, or full day — or price on application if preferred
- A photo gallery so you can see exactly what you are enquiring about
When you find something suitable, you can send a booking enquiry directly through the platform — including your preferred date, time, group size, and any notes for the provider.
Listing a Venue
If your church or organisation has rooms or halls that sit empty during the week, listing them takes just a few minutes. Here is how it works:
- Register as a provider — create a free provider profile with your organisation name and contact details.
- Add your listing — fill in your venue details, upload photos, set your availability and pricing, and submit for review.
- Receive enquiries — once live, enquiries come straight into your provider dashboard, where you can confirm or decline them and correspond directly with the person making the request.
Listings can be linked directly to an existing church profile on Kingdom Connect, which means your venue will also appear on your church's page — useful for discoverability.
You can manage multiple listings from a single dashboard, archive venues when they are no longer available, and edit details at any time. Any changes to a live listing are put back through a brief review before going live again.
Why Free?
I made a deliberate decision to offer this completely free of charge — no tiers, no paid upgrades, no limits based on how much you can afford to spend. The goal is accessibility. A small rural church with one hall should have exactly the same reach as a large city-centre ministry. Removing financial barriers felt like the right thing to do.
